Silk peel - what is the procedure?

SilkPeel is an innovative diamond microdermabrasion treatment with patented DermalInfusion technology, which provides controlled exfoliation of the epidermis under pressure along with simultaneous infusion of skin care products deep into the skin. It perfectly cleanses the skin, adds radiance, smooths, ensures an even skin tone and texture, and makes your face look fresh, young and radiant! Thanks to its high abrasive power, SilkPeel produces a quickly visible effect. The procedure can also support the treatment of dermatological problems, such as scars. The secret of the effectiveness of DermalInfusion technology is the patented SilkPeel tip with a high-quality diamond head and the simultaneous application of individually selected preparations that contain potent active substances, such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, salicylic acid, and kojic acid.

SilkPeel – how does the procedure work?

The treatment is quick, pleasant, and, despite the deep cleansing, very gentle on the skin – it does not irritate the skin or cause redness or burning. It is performed with a special SilkPeel tip with a diamond head. The remains of the exfoliated skin are immediately discharged under pressure into a special container. Importantly, the suction power is digitally adjustable to achieve the optimal effect without irritating the skin.

For infusion, we use the following preparations (individually selected to meet the needs of the skin):

  • moisturising – based on hyaluronic acid,
  • brightening – kojic acid, glycolic acid and arbutin,
  • cleansing – salicylic acid,
  • revitalising and rejuvenating – vitamin C, vitamin E, aloe extract, hyaluronic acid.

SilkPeel – how to prepare for the procedure?

The procedure does not require special preparation, provided that there are no irritations or active lesions on the skin, such as inflammation.

“Exfoliation of dead skin is the basis for fresh and youthful looking skin. That’s why SilkPeel is one of the primary treatments used in our clinic as a complement to aesthetic medicine. Its uniqueness is based on the simultaneous injection into the skin of active substances targeting different skin needs.”

Dr Barbara Jerschina

SilkPeel – recommendations after the procedure

The procedure does not require recovery, and you can return to your daily activities immediately afterwards or even put on makeup and go to an important meeting. However, as after any other dead skin exfoliation treatment, remember to protect your skin from the sun (it is more sensitive to UV rays).

FAQ – frequently asked questions about SilkPeel

SilkPeel combines well with the other appearance enhancement methods used in our clinic. It prepares the skin for more invasive treatments so you can obtain better and longer-lasting effects. We also like to combine it with laser therapy and VPL. Microdermabrasion is worth including permanently in an anti-ageing programme as a preventive measure for young and healthy skin.

Absolutely! It is a year-round treatment that can be safely performed at any time of the year. However, we recommend protecting the skin from UV radiation after the treatment – this applies to any exfoliation treatment.

The SilkPeel tip is designed to make the treatment effective while being very gentle on the skin. It allows us to deeply clean even heavily polluted skin, and thanks to the adjustment of suction power, it does not cause irritation. Occasionally, in the case of very sensitive and hyper-reactive skin, you may experience temporary redness after the procedure.

SilkPeel is a non-invasive method of cleansing and revitalising the skin that perfectly complements daily skin care and typically aesthetic methods. In concentrated therapy, treatments can be repeated up to 1-2 times a week, while preventive and long-term treatment is best done once a month or less frequently. Our specialists will suggest the exact treatment plan after a consultation and diagnosis of your skin.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Inflammation of the skin at the treatment site
  • Cancer diseases
  • Allergy to the ingredients of the preparations used for the procedure
  • Unstabilised diabetes

SilkPeel is a non-invasive, safe, non-irritating procedure with a very low risk of complications and adverse effects, provided that the type of product applied has been properly selected to meet the patient’s needs and there is no allergy to its active ingredients. For this reason, the procedure is always preceded by a consultation and skin diagnosis.
